MRS. HEPP : Kindergarten

Mrs. Hepp has over 27 years of teaching experience in early childhood and primary education. She and her sisters, Donna and Denise are the first generation of St. Peter's Elementary School graduates. Mrs. Hepp graduated from Magnificat High School and from the Ohio State University.  Before starting her family, she taught 4 years of Kindergarten in the North Ridgeville Public School system.  Due to her continual volunteer work with St. Peter School and the St. Peter PTU board she became a 2nd Grade teacher in 1989.  She is now in her 23rd year of teaching the 2nd Grade and taught one

year in 3rd Grade.  For multiple years, she and her younger sister Denise Ratusz Gorske, both taught at St. Peter School together.  All three of Mrs. Hepp's children attended and graduated from St. Peter's Elementary School, as the family's second generation of St. Peter alumni.

When not in the classroom, Mrs. Hepp enjoys collecting children's books, dining out, and traveling both domestically and abroad including Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, and Europe.  Her favorite vacation spots are to beaches in the Carolina's with her husband of 42 years, her children, and grandchildren.  She also has a special love for animals, dogs in particular. She continues to love and train her newest puppy, Mickey-T (T for trouble!!!).  Besides teaching, Mrs. Hepp was active in her parent's restaurants, the Dover Chalet in Westlake and Eddy's Chalet West in North Ridgeville.

Mrs. Hepp actively continues her education to enrich the experience for her future students and St. Peter's Elementary family.  Her continued education has included coursework at the following institutions: Baldwin Wallace College, Bowling Green State University, Mount St., Joseph College, and the College of Steubenville.  Her classes have enjoyed field trips to Stocker Center, Great Lakes Science Center, the North Ridgeville Fire Department, and end of year ice cream celebrations.

Mrs. Hepp continues to develop our Mission at St. Peter's Elementary School to welcome each person, nurturing his or her spiritual gifts in a Catholic Family environment while promoting diversity, openness, and respect.
